Drew Thelwell settles in with Hawkeyes
One year ago, Drew Thelwell was still at Morehead State working on his game in the summer months. One year later thanks to the transfer portal, Thelwell is setting into Big Ten basketball at the University of Iowa.
As a point guard, Thelwell is counted on to lead the Iowa attack and he’s getting comfortable doing that, along with establishing a defensive presence on the court. He’s also very comfortable with his teammate and competitor at point guard, Brock Harding. He talks about that competition and how talkative Harding is on the court and if they could potentially play together. Thelwell also discusses the players that have been impressive to him since arriving on campus.
