Brauns happy to be back home
Even Brauns grew up in Iowa City. Coming out of high school, he hoped that he could stay home and play for the Hawkeyes. He had to take detour starting his college career at Belmont. This spring he entered the transfer portal and landed in his dream spot at Iowa.
Brauns averaged 7.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and a team-best 1.4 blocks while shooting a team-best 58 percent from the floor. He netted double figures 10 times, pulled down double-digit rebounds five times and posted four double-doubles.
He talks about his return to Iowa and how it felt to put on Hawkeye gear for the first time this summer. He also discusses what he can bring to the table for Iowa this winter and his expected role on the team.
