Fran McCaffery on the win over North Florida
Fran McCaffery knew that Iowa would have their hands full when they faced North Florida. He knew that while they were undersized, they would hoist a lot of three and probably make a significant number of them and they did just that. But, in the end, the size and strength of the Hawkeyes was just took much in their 103-78 victory on Wednesday night.
McCaffery talked about the outstanding performance from Tony Perkins following the loss of his grandmother on Monday morning. He talks talks about the defensive play of Owen Freeman and how he continues to play very well early in his college career. Finally he discusses how the Iowa defense fueled the Hawkeyes in the second half as they pulled away from the Ospreys.
