Fran McCaffery on the defeat at Michigan
After falling behind by 16 points early in the first half and only scoring 4 points, Iowa really dug itself a hole. Add in the fact that they were battling foul trouble and it didn’t look good for Fran McCaffery’s club. But Iowa rallied and tied the game before halftime and then battled back from another deficit late before losing 85-83 at Michigan.
Following the loss we spoke with Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery about what Iowa was looking for in that final possession, the struggles from the foul line, and how he felt his team performed facing adversity in the first half with bench players rallying the team.
