Fran McCaffery talks defense, facing Minnesota
It’s been a tale of locations for the Iowa basketball team in conference play. When Iowa is at home their defense has been solid. but when they hit the road, anywhere on the road, they have struggled to stop opposing teams. We spoke to Fran McCaffery on Monday afternoon and he spoke at length about the Hawkeyes defense and what they are trying to do on that end of the floor.
McCaffery also spoke about the play of Seydou Traore as he tries to round back into form following his ankle injury. He also updates the status of Payton Sandfort heading into the the game on Tuesday night and who might start if he can’t go against the Gophers, plus if being on the road for six days is just too much for a team.
