Fran McCaffery on the win over New Orleans
After a disappointing outcome on Thursday night to Iowa State. Fran McCaffery was looking for a bounce back performance from his squad on Sunday afternoon when they took on New Orleans. The Iowa head coach got exactly what he was looking for as the Hawkeyes came out firing, sinking 11 three point field goals in the first half on their way to an easy 104-57 victory inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Following the win, McCaffery discussed the fast start to the game and the hot shooting from his squad, Seydou Traore not being able to play today due to a sore ankle, his pride in the way Pryce Sandfort and Cooper Koch contributed to the victory, and much more.
