Fran McCaffery talks win over Hoosiers
A little over a week ago, Fran McCaffery was searching for answers on the defensive end of the floor. Based on what we have seen on the court in the last sixty minutes of basketball, the Iowa head coach may have found something. The Hawkeyes have put together two terrific defensive efforts in the last game and a half on their way to two very impressive victories.
Following the win over Indiana, McCaffery spoke to the media about the defensive effort and how Iowa going to zone defense really helped them and more importantly how they were able to rebound out of that defense was important. He also spoke about the play of Drew Thelwell and the strength of Owen Freeman in the post limited the Hoosiers big man around the basket. Plus he gives an update on Josh Dix and his health.
