Fran McCaffery on his record setting victory
It was a much needed win and a record setting one for Fran McCaffery. With a hard fought 86-77 victory over Rutgers, McCaffery became Iowa’s record holder for Big Ten win with 127, passing the legendary Dr. Tom Davis.
Following the win, McCaffery gave all of the credit to the players who get the wins on the court, including having both his sons play for him and the support of his wife. He also talks about the actual win and how he was disappointed by the end of the first half effort, but proud of the way his team came out in the second half to pull away for a much needed first Big Ten win of the season.
