Fran McCaffery talks transfer portal
The Iowa men’s basketball program held their annual team banquet on Thursday night. Hawkeye head coach Fran McCaffery made a few headlines with his comments directed towards some of the wild behavior that is taking place with prospects entering the transfer portal.
McCaffery discusses Iowa’s plans in the portal and how many players he is looking to add to the roster this spring. He also talks about his growing frustration with how representatives are convincing players to leave mid-major programs in order to land a pay day and how he finds that disgusting.
He also talks about the Hawkeyes upcoming summer trip to Spain and how important that is for his team with four incoming freshmen and one or two portal additions.
