Iowa Women’s Basketball senior forward Hannah Stuelke has been absent from the first two open media practices in Iowa City, but it’s been for good reason, as she competes with Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup. Stuelke is one of seven players on the roster making their debut in the red, white and blue.

Team USA has moved on to the gold medal game at the FIBA AmeriCup in Santiago, Chile after defeating Team Canada 65-53 in Saturday’s semifinal. Stuelke and her teammates will take the floor for the AmeriCup Final at 7:10p.m. CT. The game will be streamed for free on Courtside 1891.

On Sunday night, the opponent that stands between them and a gold medal will be the Brazilian National Team. They are led by Kamilla Cardoso, Damiris Dantas, Bella Nascimento and Vitoria Marcelino.

Through five games at the tournament, Hannah is averaging 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 15.7 minutes per game. She has shot 72.2% (13/18) from two-point range and has pulled down 12 offensive rebounds. In Team USA’s Quarterfinal win over the Dominican Republic, Stuelke had her best game of the tournament, totaling ten points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.
