Hawkeye Report Podcast on Caitlin Clark and baseball preview
We have a lot of ground to cover this week on the Hawkeye Report Podcast. First, Matt Randazzo joins us to discuss the news he broke on Thursday evening that Iowa star Caitlin Clark would be playing in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am in early July with Masters and British Open champion and Ryder Cup Captain Zach Johnson.
We discuss how fans can get to the course in the Quad Cities and that there’s also a kids event that afternoon at the Deere Run golf course.

How does Iowa match-up with the Tar Heels? What about Indiana State and Wright State on the other side of the bracket? What will the format be as far as games being played on Saturday and Sunday? Could the Hawkeyes make it to the Super Regional next week and is there a chance that the there could be baseball at Banks Field next week?
Finally we wrap up the pod discussing Beth Goetz being named interim athletic director beginning on August 1st when Gary Barta will be retiring.
