The Iowa Hawkeyes have played at a couple of different venues in Chicago. They will add another one to the list this November. It was announced on Tuesday morning that Northwestern will be hosting Iowa on November 4th and the game will take place at historic Wrigley Field.

The Wildcats have hosted a couple of games in recent years at Wrigley Field. The first game was in 2010 when they hosted in-state rival Illinois. That game faced some challenges and both teams had to play on one side of the field due to safety concerns.

However, this time around the field is fully functional. Northwestern hosted Purdue in 2021 for a  game at Wrigley Field with Purdue winning the contest 32-14.

Iowa has played at Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears, on two occasions during the Ferentz era. It will also be the second time that the Hawkeyes have played in a historic baseball venue under Kirk Ferentz.  Back in December of 2017, Iowa defeated Boston College 27-20 in the Pinstripe Bowl.
