The Jan Jensen Era of Iowa Women’s Basketball got off to a solid start on Wednesday night, with the Hawkeyes picking up a resounding 110-55 win over DII Missouri Western in an exhibition.

Iowa jumped out to a 33-17 lead after the first quarter, and despite debuting four new players in the starting lineup, they looked like they should when facing a DII opponent. Hannah Stuelke and freshman Teagan Mallegni led the way in scoring with 18 points apiece, while Lucy Olsen had 14 points, six rebounds and six assists in her Hawkeye debut.

Following the win, Lucy Olsen, Teagan Mallegni and head coach Jan Jensen met with the media to discuss the Hawkeyes win over the Griffons.
