Hayden Large appreciates Iowa opportunity
The football journey for Hayden Large started in high school at Unity Christian High School and eventually it landed him at Dordt University, where he was playing tight end. Somehow that turned into Large making his way to Iowa City as a walk-on in the Hawkeye football program last summer.
Now in his second year he is making a “Large” impact on the Iowa offense. He picked up his first carry of his Iowa career on Saturday and also helped to open holes for Kaleb Johnson on several impactful big runs. He talks about how much he appreciates the opportunity that Iowa has given him.
