The Iowa Hawkeyes stayed hot on Sunday, beating Maryland 81-67 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. But, this time they did it in a different manner. Fran McCaffery had been riding the play of Kris Murray, Filip Rebraca, and Payton Sandfort in the last week, but on Sunday it was guard Tony Perkins riding to the rescue.

Perkins had a career best 22 points, including 19 in the first half, helping to lead Iowa to their fourth straight win in Big Ten play. Following the victory, McCaffery met with the media to discuss his small lineup in the first half and how they helped to build a lead at the halftime break, the play of Perkins and how he bounced back, and Ahron Ulis playing well in the victory.
