Pair of Iowa running backs not in the two deeps
The Iowa football program released their updated two deeps on Monday and it was missing two of their top running backs. Kaleb Johnson and Jaziun Patterson, who were at the top of the depth chart last week, were missing from it this week.
In their place, Iowa lists Leshon Williams as the starter and he is backup up by true freshmen Kamari Moulton and Terrell Washington Jr. Against Western Michigan this past Saturday, Williams rushed for a career best 145 yards on just 12 carries. Moulton and Washington saw their first action of the season against the Broncos. Moulton scored a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 50 yards. Washington rushed for 31 yards.
This season, Kaleb Johnson was the starter in the first two games. He rushed for a total of 91 yards and one touchdown. Johnson injured his ankle against Iowa State and did not dress last week against Western Michigan. He will be out again this week and beyond that his status is up in the air.
