Beth Goetz on NIL and the changes coming to college athletics
Beth Goetz was being frank when she said that she has probably had to change projections for the Iowa athletic department budget several times. The Iowa athletic director hinted that five times in the last year might be on the conservative side.
That’s the reality when you are running an athletic department in a rapidly changing landscape that exists today. Goetz spoke about the changes that are likely coming to college sports with expanding scholarship numbers for football and changes to the revenue distribution model that will go to athletes and how she views how that money will be spread out.
