The July evaluation periods have wrapped up for college basketball coaches and the Iowa Hawkeyes extended a scholarship offer on Friday to one of the hottest prospects in the Midwest in the Class of 2025.

Iowa offered 6-foot-4 guard Braylon Mullins from Greenfield, IN. He plays AAU basketball with Indiana Elite, the same program that future Hawkeye Cooper Koch did the past three years.  This past season as a sophomore at Greenfield-Central High School, he averaged 16.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from three point range.

According to Mullins, Iowa has been showing growing interest in the past month.

“They have really been recruiting me since the end of July,” he said. “I am very humbled and excited by the offer.”

The Class of 2025 guard says he has watched Iowa basketball in the past and feels like he would fit in well with their style of play.

“I’d fit in well with Iowa basketball by playing hard all the time and being an athletic shotmaker,” he said. “I watched them a couple of times last year and they have a real will to win.”
