Patrick McCaffery on reaching 1,000 career points
There were times when Patrick McCaffery was in his teens when he probably wondered if he would score even one point in high school or college basketball. He battled cancer as a teen and went on to score over 1,500 points at the high school level and on Tuesday night, he reached 1,000 career points as a Hawkeye. It was fitting that the final two points for Iowa were by the senior forward from the foul line to salt away an important victory.
