Photo Gallery: Iowa defeats Minnesota
It was a historic win for the Iowa basketball team on Sunday afternoon. In fact, it was the fourth largest come from behind win in school history. Iowa was down 20 points with 16:11 left in the game and came back and beat Minnesota, 90-85 at Carver Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa was paced by Payton Sandfort and Patrick McCaffery, who scored 21 points. It was the second time this season that McCaffery exceeded the twenty point mark in a game and the first coming off the bench. Equally as impressive was freshman big man Owen Freeman. He posted 17 points on the scoreboard and had 14 rebounds in the contest.
We look back at the win with some of the best photos from our outstanding photographer, Dennis Scheidt.
