It was Iowa’s first practice down in sunny Orlando, Florida. The Hawkeyes took to the field at Celebration High School for a spirited workout of around two hours on Wednesday morning. Then six Iowa players met with the media. Three from the defensive side of the ball and three others from offense.

Deontae Craig was one of the players on defense and he talks about keeping one of his roommates, Jay Higgins, and if another one, Nick Jackson, could be coming back for another year. Quinn Schulte updates his status and if he will return for one more season and Xavier Nwankpa talks about how difficult it was to play this year with an injured right hand.

On the offensive side, we talk to Kaleb Brown about what he thinks of freshman signal caller Marco Lainez and his development. We hear from Addison Ostrenga on his hopes that Luke Lachey will be back for another season and Rusty Feth heaps high praise on a freshman offensive lineman.
