Iowa lands QB Brendan Sullivan
The thin Iowa quarterback room grew by one member on Wednesday. After taking his official visit to Iowa City on Tuesday with his father, Brendan Sullivan announced that he was committed to the Hawkeyes via a message on social media.
The 6-foot-3 signal caller grew up in Michigan and was offered by new Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester out of high school. Sullivan ended up choosing Northwestern for his initial college destination over Indiana and a host of schools from the Mid-American Conference.
After redshirting in his first year with the Wildcats, Sullivan appeared in five games as a redshirt freshman, including four starts. That year he completed 74% of his throws for 589 yards and four touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions. One of his starts was against Iowa. He completed 23-30 throws for 159 yards and a pair of scores and one interception.
