Fran McCaffery and Iowa players talk loss to Purdue
The Tuesday game against Purdue brought about significant changes to the starting lineup for the Hawkeyes. With Owen Freeman out for the rest of the regular season, Fran McCaffery added Riley Mulvey to the starting lineup. He also added another change to the lineup.
Following a hard fought loss to Purdue on Tuesday evening, Fran McCaffery, Josh Dix, and Payton Sandfort spoke to the media. They discussed the spirited effort from the Hawkeyes against the Boilermakers and how everyone stepped up in the absence of Freeman. McCaffery talks about the solid play from his team out of the gate and Payton Sandfort discusses his open three late in the game that would have tied it that just missed and how proud he was of the effort everyone put together in the loss.
