Fran McCaffery says Iowa will likely play beyond this week
The Iowa Hawkeyes are headed to the Indianapolis this week. The hope for Iowa is that they win five games in five days and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. But, if that doesn’t happen, head coach Fran McCaffery says that the Hawkeyes will be playing again this year. There are two options for them, playing in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and the newly created The Crown, which will take place in Las Vegas later in month. The Iowa head coach discusses those possibilities.
McCaffery also talks about the play of Pryce Sandfort, Ladji Dembele, and what he has seen from Ohio State.
