Payton Sandfort talks about the win over Nebraska.

March is the month where it’s survive and advance for a college basketball team. For Iowa it was about getting to post season play and they did just that, beating Nebraska on Sunday afternoon in Lincoln, 83-68. The Hawkeyes were led by the trio of Payton and Pryce Sandfort, along with Josh Dix, who combined for 53 points. The Sandfort’s alone accounted for 38 points and 19 rebounds in the game.

Following Iowa’s second road win this season, the three star players Payton and Pryce Sandfort and Josh Dix, spoke to the media about getting this win and advancing to the Big Ten Tournament, where anything can happen. They talked about the defensive effort from it took on Nebraska star forward Brice Williams, who scored 7 points today.

They also spoke about the team heading out of the locker room to surround Payton Sandfort for his post game interview on the court and how they were playing to keep his season going today.
