Iowa celebrates win over Nebraska
Road wins are fun. Trophy wins are special. When the win is your tenth in a season filled with twists and turns, it’s also emotional. That was all rolled into one after the Hawkeyes heart pounding 13-10 win over the Cornhuskers on Friday afternoon in Lincoln.
Iowa was in control of the game early on as the Hawkeyes built a 10-0 lead in the second quarter. Then Nebraska came back and knotted the contest at ten heading into the final quarter of the game. Two late turnovers, one by each team led to a 38 yard field goal from Marshall Meeder, who had not kicked at all this season for the Hawkeyes.
After the game, the Hawkeyes celebrated with their fans. Enjoy.
