It will be Iowa vs. Michigan for the Big Ten title.

The Iowa Hawkeyes clinched their spot in the Big Ten title game last weekend when they defeated Illinois. Now they have an opponent and it will be the same team they faced two years ago at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Michigan defeated Ohio State for the third straight year, 30-24, and they will face Iowa next Saturday with the Big Ten title on the line. The Wolverines will also have their head coach back on the sidelines. After serving a three game suspension imposed by the Big Ten Conference following an investigation into sign stealing by the Wolverine program, Jim Harbaugh is expected to be back at their head coach for the title tilt.

Two years ago, Iowa faced Michigan and it was a one-sided affair with the Wolverines pulling away in the second half for a 42-3 victory. Cade McNamara, who started the season as Iowa’s starting quarterback, led that Michigan team to victory. He is currently sidelined with a torn ACL.

In the overall series between the two schools, Michigan holds a dominating 44-15-4 edge. However, Kirk Ferentz has had a good amount of success against the Wolverines. Ferentz has a 7-8 record against them in his Iowa career. From 2009 to 2016, Ferentz won five of six against Michigan, but the Hawkeyes have lost the last three in the series, including a 27-14 defeat last season at Kinnick Stadium.

The game will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will be broadcast on FOX with kickoff set for 7 pm (central). The Wolverines are an early 21.5 point favorite in the game.
