Iowa point guard Aaliyah Guyton enters the transfer portal

Iowa point guard Aaliyah Guyton has entered the transfer portal, HawkeyeReport and On3 Sports has learned. She was a true freshman during the 2024-25 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The talented 5-foot-7 point guard appeared in 29 games with one start, averaging 4.7 points and 16.3 minutes per game. Guyton finished fifth on the team in made threes, knocking down 28 of her 75 (37.3%) attempts. She scored in double figures in three games, including a season-high 15 points, three rebounds and three assists against Northwestern.

As a high school recruit, Aaliyah Guyton was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 58 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class by ESPN. She checked in as the No. 33 guard in the class and the No. 2 player in the state, hailing from Peoria High School in Peoria, Illinois. Guyton chose Iowa over Illinois, Nebraska, Michigan State and Pittsburgh during the recruiting process.
