Syd Affolter provides spark to Iowa lineup
It’s hard to image that the Iowa women’s basketball team needed a spark in the later stages of this season, but it sure seems like Syd Affloter has provided it. The rugged forward from the Chicago area has jumped into a starting role with Molly Davis sided and all she did was make the All Tournament team at the Big Ten Tournament.
She talks about the spark she has provided and her mentality, even when she was coming off the bench and how much she credits the seniors and leaders on the Iowa squad heading into the NCAA Tournament.
