On Monday afternoon, the NCAA Soccer Selection Committee revealed the field of 64 for the 2024 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament. Taking a quick look at the rest of the region, Duke earned the top seed in the region, while UCLA (2), Texas (4), Michigan State (5), Virginia Tech (7) and Texas Tech (8) round out the top teams.

Going back to the Hawkeyes opening round match, Missouri State earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, defeating Drake 4-0 in the Missouri Valley Tournament Championship. The Bears are one of three teams in MVC history to sweep the postseason awards. Their honorees included forward Julia Kristensen (MVC POY), defender Jenna Anderson (MVC DPOY), goalkeeper Camielle Day (MVC GKPOY) and defender Jane Hansen (MVC FrPOY). Kristensen leads the team with eight goals and 13 assists, while forward Grace O’Keefe has totaled seven goals and five assists.
