There was a cheerful vibe amongst the Hawkeyes on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, after they picked up a 71-52 win over Virginia Tech on Sunday night in Charlotte. Three players scored in double figures, including 20 points from Lucy Olsen and 18 points (9/9 FG) from Addi O’Grady. Head coach Jan Jensen met with the media this morning, speaking about the success on the defensive end against the Hokies, the impact of assistant coach Sean Sullivan, upcoming decisions with the starting lineup and more.

We also got to talk with Addi O’Grady, who spoke about her perfect shooting night against the Hokies and why she was able to find success on the block. Taylor Stremlow spoke about her role as a bench player and why the defense was able to shut down Virginia Tech.
