Jan Jensen previews UCLA, talks break for Iowa team
Usually this time of year is one game after another, after another with very few actual breaks in the schedule. But, the Iowa women’s basketball team won’t play until Sunday afternoon, which means they have essentially been given a week off. With that in mind, head coach Jan Jensen gave her squad the last two days off from practice before they start to prepare for a tall task against the UCLA Bruins.
On Friday afternoon, Jensen discussed the decision to give her team consecutive days off and how they took advantage of that time. She also hinted that a few players probably got in the gym for workouts, but that they also did a team activity yesterday. Jensen also discusses the match-up on Sunday against UCLA and what she has seen from them on film and her son filling her in about Big Ten Tournament scenarios the last few days.
