Kadyn Proctor headed back to the transfer portal
The saga of Kadyn Proctor and the Iowa football program has taken another turn. This time it’s likely a final one as far as the Hawkeye football program is concerned.
Proctor, who announced that he was transferring to Iowa in late January after spending his freshman year at Alabama, will now re-entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. He enrolled at Iowa and now leaves the Hawkeye program before even participating in spring practice with the Hawkeyes.
When he was a five star prospect out of SE Polk High School in Iowa, Proctor committed to the Hawkeyes prior to his senior year. During the late fall of his senior year of high school, Proctor took an official visit to Oregon, but stayed committed to Iowa. Then the weekend before Proctor was supposed to sign with the Hawkeyes, he made an official visit to Alabama and committed to then head coach Nick Saban.

In his freshman year with the Crimson Tide, Proctor started at left tackle. He had his struggles early and those were pointed out by some Iowa fans, but the Director of Recruiting for Hawkeye Football, Tyler Barnes, shared a tweet of support towards the former Iowa commit.
That support certainly didn’t hurt when Proctor hit the NCAA transfer portal for the first time. The recruiting bridges weren’t burned and Proctor felt comfortable being back closer to home. However, that did not last too long. Two months into his time with the Hawkeyes, Proctor now enters the transfer portal once again to an unknown destination.
