Kadyn Proctor is coming home
Offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor is coming home. The 6-foot-7, 360-pound Des Moines native, who started at left tackle for Alabama as a true freshman, announced today that he is transferring to the University of Iowa to play for the Hawkeyes.
A five-star recruit in the Class of 2023, Proctor originally committed to Iowa before his senior year at Southeast Polk High School, but then flipped to Alabama shortly before national signing day.
After enrolling early at Alabama, Proctor quickly earned a starting spot as true freshman and was a mainstay at left tackle, starting every game for the Crimson Tide on their run to the College Football Playoffs this past season. Now, he will be bringing his talents to Iowa City where he will join forces with former high school teammate Xavier Nwankpa with the Hawkeyes in 2024.
