Kael Combs settles in at Iowa
Shortly after Ben McCollum decided that he would take the opportunity to coach at the University of Iowa, he picked up the phone and starting calling a few of his Drake players. One of those players was Kael Combs. The talented guard was offered the opportunity to join his head coach in Iowa City and didn’t hesitate. Now he’s settled in as a Hawkeye and in Iowa City.
Combs met with the media for the first time since joining the program and discussed the process of coming to Iowa, the early summer workouts and a few new players struggling in the first workout, and what he can bring to the squad this season from the backup guard position.
