Kate Martin grew up sleeping with an Iowa women’s basketball poster on her ceiling above her bed. She got to play six years with the Hawkeyes and helped lead them to back-to-back national championship appearances. Martin finished with 16 points and five rebounds in Iowa’s 87-75 loss to South Carolina on Sunday afternoon. Kate finishes her career with 139 career starts, 1,299 career points and 756 rebounds.

Martin spoke with the media about lessons from the Final Four that she will use as a future coach, how playing the maximum amount of games the last two seasons will lessen the blow of being done and where the belief the team had in the longer room came from.
