Kate Martin talks Hawkeyes resiliency in the win over UConn

Late in the third quarter, Aaliyah Edwards went up for a layup and caught Kate Martin in the nose with her arm. The Hawkeyes veteran leader went running off the floor with blood on her face. She emerged from the tunnel moments later and hit tough shot after tough shot down the stretch to help Iowa to a 71-69 win over UConn on Friday night. Martin finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, including six points in the fourth quarter.
Martin met with the media after the game to discuss the Hawkeyes resiliency, what the mindset was in the locker room at halftime and how they have been able to grind out some tough games this season.
