Ferentz sees experience as key to OL growth
Kirk Ferentz has coached offensive line for a long time. He knows the position and what it takes to be success better than just about anyone in the coaching business.
The Iowa head coach also knows that there is no substitute for experience and last year when one of your most experienced offensive lineman was playing as a true sophomore, that’s generally not a recipe for success in the Big Ten.
The Hawkeye offensive line faced it’s fair share of struggles in 2022 and now with a year or two of experience under their belt, Ferentz expects the level of growth from the group to accelerate. Ferentz also has full faith in offensive line coach George Barnett, who will once again lead the position group.
