Kirk Ferentz wraps up Iowa spring practice

On Saturday the Iowa football team wrapped up the 2025 spring portion of their work. They took part in the 15 allowed practices and head coach Kirk Ferentz said afterwards that he felt the team took a positive step forward.
But, as is usually the case in the spring, injuries or players sitting out due to minor nagging issues were the headline story. We received an update from Ferentz on those injuries and the good news being that at this point nothing seems to be longer term. He also talk about the growth of the wide receiver room, the development of the running backs, and why he wants to see more clarity in the rules governing college sports and specifically college football.
