Honors continue to roll in for Kris Murray

The awards and honors keep rolling in for Kris Murray. The junior forward received more accolades this week as he was named third team All American by the Associated Press. He was also one of five players to be honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches to the District 7 first team. In addition, Murray was also named to the All District squad by the United States Basketball Writers Association.

This season the junior forward from Cedar Rapids is averaging 20.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. He is the only player in D1 basketball to average over 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1 block, and has made over 60 three point field goals.

Murray is also a semifinalist for the John R. Wooden, Lute Olsen, and Oscar Robertson awards and a finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward Award.
