Kylie Feuerbach returning to Iowa for her final year of eligibility

The Hawkeyes have their premier defender for the 2025-26 season. On Tuesday afternoon, the Iowa Women’s Basketball program announced that guard Kylie Feuerbach intends to return for her final year of eligibility. She will be one of the early favorites to land on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team.

“We are thrilled to have Kylie return for an extra season,” said head coach Jan Jensen in a release from the school. “She is a tremendous teammate above all and will give us some veteran leadership for next year. She will return as one of the top defenders in the Big Ten.”

Feuerbach, a redshirt senior from Sycamore, Illinois, has started all 32 games for the Hawkeyes this season, averaging 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. She leads the team in steals (42), while she ranks third in assists (75), fourth in made threes (32) and sixth in made field goals (68). Kylie has scored in double figures in seven games this season and totaled nine games with multiple made three-pointers.

A four-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting class, Feuerbach started her college career at Iowa State, appearing in 28 games with 24 starts as a true freshman., averaging 5.5 points per game. She opted to enter the transfer portal after one year in Ames and has spent the last four seasons with the Hawkeyes. Kylie suffered a torn ACL prior to the 2022-23 season and redshirt, while her 6th year of eligibility next season will be a Covid year.

Over the course of her collegiate career, Feuerbach has appeared in 131 games, with 58 starts. She has totaled 2,428 minutes, 569 points, 247 rebounds, 158 assists and 99 steals.
