Logan Jones returning for one more season at Iowa
While the Iowa staff is working the transfer portal to bolster their roster for next season, there are also a select number of Hawkeyes who could return for one more year that have decisions to make. One of them made that decision known on Tuesday when Logan Jones announced on Instagram that he would be returning for one more season in the Black and Gold.
“Being a Hawk has been a dream come true and I am excited for one last season with my brothers. Go Hawks!”
He shared that message on Instagram and that certainly gives the Iowa offensive line a boost heading into the 2025 season. Jones had made 38 career starts and was named first team All Big Ten last week by the media and second team by the Big Ten coaches. He was also named second team All Big Ten by the Associated Press on Tuesday.

This means that Iowa should be returning three starters along their offensive line. In addition to Jones, Iowa will return Gennings Dunker at tackle and Beau Stephens at guard. Dunker was named second team All Big Ten by the coaches and third team by the media. Stephens was finally healthy most of this season and was one of Iowa’s best run blockers this year.
As we have written previously one other player to watch on the opposite side of the ball is Ethan Hurkett, who is considering returning for one more season.
