Mason Woods makes college decision
Iowa City West WR/TE Mason Woods, the son of Hawkeye special teams coordinator LeVar Woods, announced his college decision today. The versatile 6-foot-3, 215-pounder is staying home and playing for the Hawkeyes.
A three-star prospect, Woods earned scholarship offers from Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Wyoming, Tulsa, Miami-OH, Ball State, and South Dakota during the recruiting process.

As a junior, he showcased his versatility on both sides of the ball for Iowa City West, finishing the season with 35 catches for 535 yards and three touchdowns on offense along with 17.5 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two interceptions on defense.
Overall, Woods is commitment No. 8 for the Hawkeyes as he joins Thomas Meyer, Carson Cooney, Joey VanWetzinga, Jimmy Sullivan, Burke Gautcher, Eli Johnson, and Drew MacPherson in Iowa’s recruiting class of 2025.
