McCaffery on the loss at Purdue
Cold shooting in the first half coupled with a struggling rotation on defense doomed Iowa on Thursday night in an 87-73 loss at Purdue. Iowa scored just 21 points in the first twenty minutes of action, but rallied to score 52 in the second half, but that was not enough.
Following the loss, Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery met with the media to discuss the loss to the Boilermakers. He talks about the struggles in the first half on offense and defense and how their press helped fuel their comeback attempt in the second half of the game.
