Patrick McCaffery advocates for mental health care
Last season Patrick McCaffery had to step away from the game of basketball. It’s the game he loves, but it became too much and the veteran wing took time away to clear his head and feel better about himself. These days, the son of the Iowa coach coach is doing better. He’s feels stronger and the issues that occurred, while not fully in the review mirror, they are under control.
McCaffery discusses his mental health battles and how he has dealt with them for a long time, but mostly outside of public view. He also discusses becoming an advocate for mental health with his honest and open discussion about his issues and how he is hoping it helps others.
