Patrick McCaffery working on shooting, talking more on the court as a veteran
Patrick McCaffery is entering his fifth season with the Hawkeyes and is now one of the old guys on the team along with Valpariso transfer Ben Krikke. Patrick averaged 9.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season, while shooting 40.9% from the floor. He scored 20+ points in five games, with his best game coming against Wisconsin when he put up a career-high 24 points. With the top two scorers from last season gone from the roster, he is a player to watch for an increased scoring load this season.
Patrick met with the media on Thursday to discuss his role as a veteran on the roster, if he thinks his scoring load will increase, as well as what he has been working on over the offseason and more.
