Iowa players discuss win over Penn State
While the Iowa players weren’t particularly happy with the way they reached the finish line, they were happy with the result. Iowa broke a three game losing skid on Friday evening by beating Penn State and after the game, Payton Sandfort and Drew Thelwell met with the media to discuss it.
The Iowa duo discussed the poor foul shooting down the stretch that made the game closer than it needed to be, how they held on defensively in the final minute, Thelwell cracking 1,000 career points and egging on the crowd at different moments in the game, and the better energy that they showed in this game.
