Payton Sandfort, Josh Dix lead Iowa to victory
The Iowa basketball team was short-handed on Tuesday night, which meant that Payton Sandfort and particularly, Josh Dix were going to have to log quite a few minutes. In fact, Dix played all but 22 seconds of the win over Nebraska and finished with a team high, 31 points. While that is impressive, Sandfort scoring all of his 30 points after halftime, including making six three pointers and hammering home a left handed dunk.
The duo combined for 61 of Iowa’s 97 points in the win over Nebraska. That included making 13 of 20 three point field goals. Dix talks about his need for an ice bath to recover from this game, while Sandfort talks about how proud he is of the team and their rally.
