The #1 ranked Iowa Field Hockey team was back in action in Iowa City this afternoon with a contest against the Vermont Catamounts. It was the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Hawkeyes scored three second half goals and rolled to a 5-0 win to extend their win streak to seven games to begin the season.

The Hawkeyes scored a penalty corner goal in the third minute off of the stick of Dionne van Aalsum. In the 29th minute, Lieve Schalk scored her first goal of the season on a chaotic penalty corner. Schalk finished the day with an additional two assists to give her a team-leading five. In the second half, Sofie Stribos scored her third goal of the season, while Dionne van Aalsum scored two more to give her 19 goals on the season. Iowa outshot Vermont 14-4, including ten shots on goal and a 6-2 advantage on penalty corners.
