The Iowa women’s basketball team cruised to a 72-43 win over Washington State on Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Lucy Olsen (17), Addi O’Grady (14) and Hannah Stuelke (11) led the way in scoring, while Syd Affolter added eight points and eight rebounds. Trailing 19-18 after the opening ten minutes, the Hawkeyes leveled up the intensity on the defensive end, holding the Cougars to just 24 points over the final 30 minutes of the game. It’s the fourth time this season that Iowa’s opponent has failed to reach 60 points.
